We prefer not to have too many rules on Havering Freegle but we do need a few to ensure the group runs smoothly creating a pleasant experience for our members.

Our most important rule is that everything must be free. No strings attached. This means no payments in any form whatsoever are allowed.
Items must be in usable condition, even broken items can be repaired by someone or used for spare parts but we cannot take items that really should be in the dump.
We do not allow posts requesting or offering animals however we do allow offers of fish and small rodents. This is because there is a recognised lack of rehoming facilities for such creatures in the area.
We allow members to post as many offers and wants as they like but we do restrict members from sending the same offer message within 7 days and the same wanted message within 14 days. This is to keep mail at a minimum.
We do not allow messages that have also been posted to another Yahoo group on the same day. We ask that members leave 24 hours between posting between groups.
For our members safety we do not allow phone numbers or addresses to be included in posts. You may however share both privately between yourself and other members. If you feel there is reason to include either, please let a moderator know before you post your message.
All posts must be written with the correct subject line format. Start with either 'Offer', 'Wanted'. 'Taken', or 'Received' followed by the item you are offering or requesting. Then finish with your approximate location. Like this: Offer: Teapot: Romford... Taken: Teapot: Romford. Messages will be returned otherwise.
